Aguada
The Island’s second oldest settlement.
Aguada is the Island’s second oldest settlement. Proof of this is the Ermita Espinar Ruins. It was built on behalf of Nuestra Señora de la Inmaculada Concepción as part of the effort to convert the Taíno Indians.
Each November 19, Aguada observes the Discovery of Puerto Rico with a huge parade. Year-round you can enjoy the beautiful surfing and bathing beaches such as Pico de Piedra and Playa Espinar.
How to go: South of Aguadilla, take Rt 2 to the right-hand turn for Rt 115 and into Aguada.
