Morovis
Well known for the artisans who make cuatros.

Founded in 1818 and located just 50 miles from San Juan, Morovis offers beautiful views of the mountains and the flatlands that run to the sea. On the Plaza Juan Evangelista Rivera is a Catholic church founded in 1823. The Panadería Patria is one of the oldest bakeries in Puerto Rico with its famous pan de la patita echá (braided bread).

Part of the Patron Saint Festivities (in July) include the Carnaval Moroveño. You are invited to participate.

This town is also well known for the artisans who make cuatros. This is a special guitar-style instrument famous throughout Puerto Rico. In fact, there is an annual festival, the Festival de Cuatristas y Trovadores, celebrating the artisans who make and use these instruments.
