An excellent beach area, very well attended on the weekends.
Mostly residential, Ocean Park sits along the beach between the Condado and Isla Verde in a low-lying area of San Juan. Some of the lovely homes have been turned into guest houses and it is a gathering place for visitors and locals who enjoy the outdoor lunch and dining patios featured by most inn facilities. You will not find big hotels and casinos but if you are looking for a lower key beach vacation in the heart of the metro area, this is your spot.
At night, much of Ocean Park is accessed by a gated entrance on Calle Santa Ana just north of Calle McLeary. Calle Mcleary features quite a few very popular local restaurants and pubs which do a thriving business. You will also find mini-marts, skateboard and surfing shops dotting the avenue along with several popular boutiques.
